Born in Chattanooga Tennessee, Pam’s parents moved back to their hometown of Faith, NC when she was 6 weeks old. Pam graduated from Catawba College in 1976 with a Bachelors degree in History and a Minor in Voice. After marriage the same year, she moved to Charlotte. In November of 1983 she was approached regarding a position at Chair and Equipment Rentals in the Medical Division, a family-owned company, where she found a home.
Through the years Pam wore many hats at Chair and Equipment Rentals, in Customer Service, Billing, Authorizations, Collections, Team Lead, and eventually Office Manager where Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) became a focus and passion. In 2014 Chair and Equipment Rentals was procured by National Seating and Mobility, where she worked as Lead Funding Specialist until her retirement in early 2020. During her 36(+) years, Pam served as Treasurer for ACMESA (formerly NCAMES) State Association for 12 years, served as the CRT Chair for the ACMESA board, and part of the Medicaid Liaison committee until her retirement.
She was approached by Frank and Andrew Trammell regarding a new opportunity and adventure to help build a Complex Rehab Technology division for CHMEI. Pam joined the CHMEI team in July 2020. It has been “an exciting adventure and great fun building something from the ground up and a joy to be working in a family-owned business again”. Pam continues to enjoy her music through her church involvement. She loves bird feeding and collecting broaches and refrigerator magnets.
